Welcome to my home, Gobabis Namibia. It sits perched on the edge of the Kalahari desert near the Botswana border. It is the seat of the Omaheke region and a cultural hub for many indigenous Namibian and Botswana tribal communities including the San, Herrero, Damara, Ovambo, Caprivi, and Afrikaans communities. This is where I will be spending the next year of my life. Featured on this page are the people who have welcomed me into their home and family. I will be eternally grateful for every person here who has made me feel safe, welcome, and loved.
